The God of the Bible is the one true God. Represented in the Trinity of God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit.
How do we know this? Because it’s evidenced by Jesus Christ, a man known to have lived and one of the most well know historical facts, was crucified. But also, he came back to life after three days, hence Easter and ASCENDED into heaven.
Yeah, but how do we know he was God? Well, because in the Bible, which is considered the authoritative WORD OF GOD, he makes it very clear “I and the Father are one.” – John 10:30 -in addtion to MANY other scriptures.
Yeah, but you keep citing Bible references, what if you don’t believe in the Bible. …WELL, everyone knows Jesus existed. Jews know he existed, yet do not believe in his divinity, Muslims know he existed but call him just a prophet – by the way a prophet is someone who speaks for God.
So at the intersection of the three largest religions in the world you have a figure that people disagree on. Well, what did Jesus say about himself?
Here ya go:
- John 14:6 – I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.
